PHOTO BALLOONS PERFECT FOR KIDS BIRTHDAY PARTIES!!!!! $11.75 |
How do I get my kids to do something for my birthday?
Tomorrow is my birthday. My husbands been a real — lately. We’ve just been having a real hard time with jobs, finances, etc.
Sure, I guess I’m feeling sorry for myself because I always make everybody else’s birthday a HUGE deal and I do everything to make the whole day special.
When my day comes around, yes he does buy me a cake and throw unwrapped things my way, its just not the same.
Anyway, I have an almost 5 year old and a 3 year old (she’s almost 4, gosh they grow up so fast … yes I did have them back-to-back).
How do I ask them to maybe make something or do something? Or is it stupid to even ask?
(Last night my mom said, “screw it, put up balloons yourself, I’m too far away, but if you do it, it’d be like I did it”)
Lol @ Thesunwasshingingonthesea (long name!)
My mom rocks. I live in TX and she lives all the way in New England.
“Screw it, put up balloons yourself”…she is a wise woman!
Sit them down and get them to draw you a picture for your birthday! Maybe there’s a craft that you can get them to do? Get them excited about a “party”…heck, go get some party hats!
