What do you do with old graduation announcements, holiday cards, etc?

Im a reformed pack rat and after the hassle of moving several times, my first impulse is to toss it, recycle it, or donate it. My boyfriend hasnt gotten to that level yet and insists on keeping everything for sentimentality.

I appreciate his sensitive side but we live in a small apartment and I cant stand clutter.

Im in the middle of some serious cleaning and organizing but when I come across things like a close cousin’s first child birthday invitation or a graduation announcement, I pause. I remember my grandmother who kept all that stuff and years later when she had Alzheimer’s it meant a lot to our family to see all of those mementos.

So what do you do with all that? Part of me says its clutter and the other part says its memories.

Start a scrap book i use the front of the cards for back grounds and the words you can add as accents, for the ones i done have pictures to go with i just use the cards and some frills form the scrap booking sections at my local store, and it real nice to just be able to pull it out and enjoy it when you want
