How can I ask people to pay for their own meals at a party ?
I have to throw a party for my partners 50th birthday. He is a very popular man and I have to invite maybe 30 -50 people. My house is not big enough for this, so we will have to go to a resturant. Is there a correct way to put on the invitation that they will have to pay for their own meals.
If they pay, then you’re not really “inviting” them. So don’t put the request in the form of an invitation. Instead, contact them all and suggest that “we” all get together to give your partner a party. (i.e., everyone except the guest of honor is a “host”)
