I’m having an adult luau for my 21st birthday at the end of the month, should I supply drinks and food?

The theme is Captain Morgan’s Luau we have a pool and hot tub, and almost all of my friends and family drink very heavily so there will be a keg. At our last party I provided a keg and punch but the punch was gone in minutes and it had three bottles in it! But bottles of alcohol are expensive to buy for 40 guests and it’s my birthday so I don’t want to do all the work, should i make the invite say bring your favorite Hawaiian dish OR party beverage for sharing? or supply all food and try to get people to bring punch supplies to add to the “booty”. Also any cute wording suggestions for it?… like ARG matey.. lol

I agree…supply the main dishes and you could tell them to bring a side dish and BYOB…its common these days and if someone wants to drink and didn’t bring anything they can drink the supplied keg.

You could say Arg, ye ready for a feast matey?? Bring your best festive dish for ye pirate appetite! If ye Arg gonna drink pirate beverage bring ye booze!!
